Picture of myself at Piazza Del Duomo in Milan, 2019. In a classic study of Bisiach and Luzzatti (1978), two left neglect patients were asked to describe this square from memory from a particular viewpoint. They missed details on their left side. This was not due to general memory deficits as they showed the same pattern when asked to describe the square from the opposite viewpoint. This provided evidence for representational neglect.
